It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Doug MacLean on May 28, 2026, at the age of 80. He has gone to join his beloved soulmate, Lois.
Doug will be remembered with love by his sons, Don (Francine) and Michael (Donna), his four grandsons, and his four precious great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
He loved being outdoors, especially at the lake, where he enjoyed time with family and friends. Known as a great cook, Doug often brought people together around food, laughter, and stories. His grandchildren recall his wisdom and warmth, always eager to share lessons and encouragement.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who provided care for Doug during his final days. At his request, a private ceremony will be held to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation in his memory.
