It is with heavy hearts that the family shares the passing of Susan Whitehead, who died peacefully on March 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Her cause of death was cancer, a battle she faced with strength and courage.
Susan was a devoted mother to Jason (Rebeca), Nicole (Josh), and Melissa (Kwazzi), and a proud grandmother to Lennix, Lianna, and Gabriella. She is now reunited with her parents, Francis and Stella, who predeceased her. She leaves behind her siblings John Whitehead, Debra Aitken, and Janet (Darin) Tibbits, along with many extended family members who cherished her deeply.
She was known as a strong and resilient woman who lived with determination and a generous heart. Susan regularly supported charities and gave back to her community, always thinking of others before herself.
Her passions included traveling—especially to tropical destinations where she could enjoy the sun and sand—and appreciating the simple beauty of autumn leaves. She found comfort in life’s little joys, such as a good cup of tea and time spent with her family.
Susan will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Hospice Simcoe in Susan’s memory, honoring the care and compassion she valued so deeply.
